Villasimius

Villasimius is in proximity to a series of beautiful beaches, alternating along a rugged coastline that leads all the way to Capo Carbonara. The entire coastal area, which has up to more than 20 beaches along its 25 km length, is part of a marine protected area and boasts some of the Mediterranean's best-known destinations such as Cala Giunco, Cala Caterina, Punta Molentis, Spiagga del Riso, Simius and Campus.

The urban center of the town, which also features an archaeological museum and a touristic port, is located one kilometer and a half from the beach of Simius and in the summer is a blend of music, folklore and food and wine festivals. Villasimius is in fact also known for its religious festivals and for the production of honey and local wines, as well as for the famous Sardinian amaretti and cheese.
